RingGrip is a prostate massager with an external ring handle — you keep hold of it throughout, which is the single biggest reason it works as a first prostate toy. Nothing goes in further than you decide, and getting it back out is never a question.

Why the ring handle matters

Never use anything anally that lacks a flared base or an external handle. The rectum, unlike the vagina, has no natural stopping point — a toy without one can travel beyond reach, and that is a hospital problem rather than an inconvenience. The ring here is not a styling choice; it is the safety feature.

Using it — the parts that actually matter

Lubricant is not optional. The rectum produces none of its own. Use considerably more water-based lubricant than you think you need, on both the toy and yourself, and reapply during use rather than pushing through friction.

Go slower than feels necessary. Insert gradually and stop the moment anything feels like effort rather than sensation. Tension works against you here; there is no prize for speed.

The prostate sits about 5–7 cm in, toward the front of the body — angle the curve toward your navel. What works is steady pressure rather than thrusting.

Start on the lowest vibration setting. You can always go up.

Care & cleaning

  • Warm water and mild unscented soap, or a dedicated toy cleaner, before and after every single use. Anal toys need this more than any other category.
  • Do not submerge unless waterproofing is confirmed on your packaging.
  • Air dry fully before storing. Keep separate from other silicone items.
  • Never share without a condom over it and a full clean between users.
  • Water-based lubricant only — silicone lube degrades silicone. See Toy Care 101.

Questions

Is this suitable for a complete beginner?
It is the one we would point a beginner to. The external handle means you stay in control of depth and removal at every moment, which removes the main anxiety people have about this category.

Where is the prostate and how will I know I've found it?
Roughly 5–7 cm inside, on the front wall toward the navel. It feels firmer and more rounded than the tissue around it. Pressure rather than movement is what produces the sensation.

Do I need to prepare beforehand?
Optional, not mandatory. Plenty of people find a normal shower is enough. If you want to rinse, use plain lukewarm water only — never soap.

Can it be used by anyone?
The prostate is a male anatomical structure, but the toy itself is usable for general anal stimulation by anyone. The ring handle makes it safe either way.

Why silicone rather than TPE?
Silicone is non-porous and can be properly sanitised. For anything used anally, that matters more than it does elsewhere.
