BloomCore is a set of weighted silicone kegel balls for pelvic floor training. Every piece has a soft integrated silicone retrieval loop — removal is never in question, which is the thing most people want to know before buying their first set.
This is exercise equipment more than anything else. A stronger pelvic floor supports bladder control, core stability and postpartum recovery, and it works the way any other muscle does: progressive resistance, short sessions, done consistently.
Choose your stage
| Option | What it is | Best for |
|---|---|---|
|
Single Ball — Beginner 40 g |
One larger, lighter ball with a retrieval loop | Starting out. Larger and lighter is easier to hold — begin here. |
|
Double Ball — Intermediate 60 g |
Two connected weighted balls, more resistance | Once the single ball stays put comfortably for a full 15 minutes. |
|
3-Piece Progressive Set 134 g total |
All three weights, beginner through advanced | The full progression in one purchase, and better value than buying stages separately. |
The sizing rule that surprises people
Most people assume a beginner should start small. The opposite is true. A larger, lighter ball is easier for an untrained pelvic floor to hold; a smaller, heavier one demands more strength. Starting too small is the single most common reason people conclude that kegel balls "don't work" for them — they skipped to advanced on day one.
Specifications
- Material: body-safe silicone — non-porous, phthalate-free, fully sanitisable
- Retrieval: integrated silicone loop on every piece, stays outside the body
- Colour: Rose
- Power: none — fully manual, nothing to charge
- Lubricant: water-based only
How to train
- Apply water-based lubricant and insert, leaving the retrieval loop outside.
- Squeeze and release — contract as if stopping the flow of urine, hold 5 seconds, release 5 seconds, ten repetitions.
- Then simply hold it while standing or walking for 10–15 minutes.
- Stop at 15 minutes. More is not better — an overworked pelvic floor becomes tight rather than strong, and a tight pelvic floor causes pain and urgency, the opposite of what you are training for.
- Remove by pulling the loop gently while relaxed.
Progress a stage only when you can hold the current weight comfortably for a full 15 minutes, complete ten repetitions without the last few feeling shaky, and have trained consistently for about four weeks. Moving up early trains your glutes and abdominals to compensate — the wrong muscles entirely.
Most people notice bladder control improving first, usually at 4–8 weeks. Deeper detail in Kegel Training and Pelvic Floor Fitness.
When not to use these
Please read this rather than skipping it.
- Postpartum: wait for medical clearance, usually around six weeks, longer after a caesarean or complicated delivery. See Postpartum Intimacy.
- During pregnancy — not without your doctor's approval.
- During menstruation, or with an active infection.
- After recent pelvic surgery, without clearance.
- With pelvic pain, a hypertonic pelvic floor, or vaginismus — strengthening exercises make an already-tight pelvic floor worse. A pelvic floor physiotherapist is the right first call.
Stop if you feel pain, and see a healthcare provider if symptoms persist.
Care & cleaning
- Warm water and mild unscented soap, or a toy cleaner, before and after every use — including the loops and the grooves between balls.
- Air dry fully. Store pieces separately rather than stacked, and away from other silicone items.
- Never share.
- Water-based lubricant only — silicone lube degrades silicone. See Toy Care 101.
Questions
Can they get lost inside?
No. The cervix prevents anything travelling further, and every piece has a retrieval loop that stays outside the body. If a loop ever slips inside, bear down gently and it comes within reach.
Which option should I buy?
The single ball if you want to try one stage, or the 3-piece set for the whole progression at better value. Do not start with the heaviest.
How long until I notice a difference?
4–8 weeks with daily practice for most people. Bladder control usually improves before anything else.
Can I wear them all day?
No. 10–15 minutes is a training session; all day is overtraining.
Do these help after childbirth?
Pelvic floor training is a standard part of postpartum recovery — but clearance from your provider comes first, and timing matters more than the tool.
Are they sex toys?
They are training tools. They do not vibrate and are not designed for stimulation, though improved pelvic floor tone often increases sensation over time.
