Why a chemise fits more bodies

Fitted lingerie has to match your measurements at several points at once. A chemise only really has to fit at the shoulders and bust, and falls loosely from there — so it suits a wider range of shapes and is far less likely to be the wrong size.

Sizing

Sizing follows Asian standards and runs smaller than US sizing — if you are between sizes, or usually wear a US medium, size up. Because the chemise is loose-cut, it is more forgiving than a fitted set; the thong is the piece where size matters more.

Care

• Hand wash cold only. Fine mesh and embroidery snag in a machine, even on a gentle cycle.
• Hang to dry or lay flat. Never tumble dry — heat distorts stretch fabric and embroidery.
• Take off rings and bracelets before putting it on; that is how most lingerie gets snagged.
• Do not iron, bleach or wring.
